the weekends always go by so fast. it reminds me of when i was little and i used to wish that every week was like the week of thanksgiving: two days of school and five days of vacation. can you imagine all of the trouble we could get ourselves into? i guess it wouldn't really work out, but it's a nice thought when all you wanna do come monday morning is sleep.

i need to get back to my "things to do in houston" to-do list. i've been slacking. help me? come with me to a museum or a restaurant or a park. it'll be fun. i'll say something stupid that you can make fun of me for later.

bill keller is a douche bag. i don't want to copy and paste her entire note, but a distant high school friend actually posted a transcript of one of his sermons/speeches/extremist tirades onto facebook, and reading it was like physically injecting anger into my bloodstream. ok, ok, that may be a little of a stretch (and let's face it, a lame thing to say), but i encourage any of you who want to find a good example of what NOT to be like when discussing politics, to check him out at liveprayer.com under the category "God's Enemy" (i know, right?). It'll be interesting to see how long you can stomach it before walking away from the computer and/or throwing your shoe at the monitor.

so, i know that i am not (read: NOT) an economist, but something about the whole bail-out just doesn't seem to sit well with me. i don't understand why we have to help these wall street moguls for basically making poor decisions. and not only that, we're attempting to stabilize their credit WITH credit. it's not like the government just has 700 billion laying around somewhere in the back room of the treasury (unless cheney's been hiding it; he always looked somewhat suspicious).



on a side note- i have turned into somewhat of a zombie and can't wait for this week to be over. i implore anyone available to partake in heavy drinking friday post 2pm.
